In 2022 and 2023, CEFIS trained more than 300 multipliers to raise awareness among their families, communities, neighbours and others of the importance to register as foreign residents on the electoral roll for the local elections on 11 June 2023.

These multipliers come from all walks of life, nationalities, ages and social categories.

The only condition for registering on the municipal electoral roll was being 18 years old on election day. There was no longer any residence requirement.

Thanks in particular to the work of these multipliers, more than 50,000 foreign residents registered to vote in the last elections, representing almost 20% of foreign residents over the age of 18.

CEFIS and the Ministry of Family Affairs, Integration and the Greater Region would like to extend their warmest thanks to all these volunteers for the work they have done to promote democracy and the exercise of the civil and political rights of every citizen, and would like to announce that new multiplier training courses are planned for January and February 2024 in regard to the European elections on 9 June 2024.
